What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and improve your experience. We also use browser local storage (not a cookie) to remember your consent choice.

Cookie Categories

We classify our cookies into two categories:

  • Strictly Necessary: Cookies required for the website to function, such as remembering your consent preference. These cannot be disabled.
  • Performance / Analytics: Cookies that help us understand how visitors use our site (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). These are only set if you consent.

Cookie Consent — localStorage Explanation

Our cookie consent preference (cookie_consent) is stored in your browser's local storage rather than as an HTTP cookie.

Why local storage?

  • The consent preference only needs to be read by the website's JavaScript — it does not need to be sent to the server on every request.
  • Local storage keeps the data entirely on your device, giving you full control.
  • You can clear it at any time using your browser settings.

How to clear your consent preference:

  • Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → [our site] → Clear data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → [our site] → Remove
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → [our site] → Remove
  • Any browser: Open Developer Tools (F12) → Application/Storage → Local Storage → [our site] → Delete the cookie_consent key

Clearing this will cause the consent banner to appear again on your next visit.

Managing Cookies

When you first visit our site, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies via our consent banner. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect your experience.

Manage Preferences: We use browser local storage (not a cookie) to remember your consent choice. To reset your consent, you can clear your browser's local storage for our site — this will show the consent banner again on your next visit.

Third-Party Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to collect anonymous data. We do not control these cookies and recommend reviewing Google's privacy policy for more information.
